Join us for the Uprising Retreat under the redwoods in the tranquil stone and glass sanctuary atop the symphonic shores of the Pacific Ocean in Palos Verdes, Calif. on October 15, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. Gina Calderone, MPT, my childhood friend and co-author in researching the book Invisible Wounds, has uncovered and healed generational wounds in the body for hundreds of individuals and families. She will guide us through the body and life review to excavate the roots of chronic pain, cancer, depression and addiction haunting you and members of your family. We inherit our parents’ pain – understanding their story liberates us from transmitting it to our children. You can rise up to be the hero of your family. Is it time for you to shift toxic anger, shame, guilt and grief into clarity, understanding and love? You can transform your pain into power for you and your family! Hope to see you there! Here is the link to reserve your spot.

Her book and work in shaping a life review program to record and celebrate the life stories of hospice patients for their families earned an award from the California Hospice and Palliative Care Association given to an individual who is a model for advancing the future of hospice and palliative care. The book led to creating a hospice resource blog and working with HBO on a documentary about new end-of-life practices in America. Denise is currently writing the book, “Invisible Wounds: Healing the Roots of Generational Pain in the Body,” with Gina Calderone, MPT, physical and energetic therapist and founder of Centripetal Force Studio. The book brings forth a method for identifying and healing unresolved grief and trauma radiating chronic pain, addiction and generational disease in the body. At Centripetal Force Studio, Denise uses a life review interview technique to compassionately guide patients to reflect on their life experiences to find the emotional and generational root story of pain and disease.
